Kootenay Industries Ltd. has implemented an Occupational Health and Safety program designed to protect people, property and the environment. We exceed the standards of the Manufacturer’s Health & Safety Association, are proud to hold our Certificate of Recognition (COR) from Alberta Employment and Immigration.

With management’s full commitment to Health and Safety, Kootenay Industries uses a comprehensive approach to hazard identification and assessment, hazard control, worker competency and training, inspections, emergency response planning and incident investigation. This system allows us to maintain a healthy, injury free workplace for all employees and contractors.

Health and Safety Policy

Kootenay Industries Ltd. serves the Canadian oil and gas resources industry designing and fabrication top quality process equipment. Kootenay Industries is committed to conducting its business in a manner designed to protect the health and safety of its employees, subcontractors, and the environment.

In fulfilling this commitment to protect both people and property, management provides and maintains a safe and healthful work environment. This is in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements. Every effort is made to eliminate any foreseeable hazards that may result in property damage, accidents or personal injury/illness.

All employees are equally responsible for minimizing accidents. Safe work practices and procedures are clearly defined in the Safety Manual for all employees to follow.

Accidental loss is controlled through good management in combination with active employee involvement. Safety is the direct responsibility of all managers, supervisors, and employees.

We consider the safety and health of our employees of prime importance and train all of our employees to work toward a safe and healthy work environment.
